A guided bus tour that no visitor should miss is a visit to Talatí de Dalt, a prehistoric village which has spectacularly well-preserved artifacts, the highlights of which are two natural caves that may have been used to inter the dead during the time of the Talaiotic culture; the central talaiot is on the highest point of the village from whence control of the territory was maintained, and there’s a sanctuary with a singular table that may have been built in or around the fifth century BC. Talatí de Dalt also has two talaiots that have been preserved, situated on the perimeter of the ancient village, a number of Talaiotic houses, and part of a wall that surrounded the village.
