Your first stop of this tour might be at the famous church ´La Sagrada Familia´, a must-see when you visit Barcelona! This church is located at the Carrer de Mallorca and is an unfinished master piece of Gaudí. There are possibilities to climb to the top or just go inside and admire the beauty of the church.
For a nice coffee break we would like to suggest the following place: the Friss Juice Café. It is located almost next to the Sagrada Familia and it is a small but perfect place to drink some coffee and eat a sandwhich and/or icecream.
After having a drink and visiting ´La Sagrada familia´ we recommend you to continue your tour and drive in approximately 15 minutes to the north of the city, to Carrer d'Olot. Here it would be nice to visit one of Gaudi´s other amazing work, ´Park Guëll´. Feel free to walk around and experience the beauty of his work.
It might be nice to go to the most famous street of the city as well: Las Ramblas. At this long street you will have plenty of things to do and therefore you should have no time schedule. You can have lunch at one of the tapas restaurants, buy some souvenirs or just enjoy the popular street! For lunch we would like to recommend one specific restaurant: Tapas 21, located at a great location at the Ramblas.
If you continue your tour you should go to the Old Town, where we the Picasso Museum is located. The museum is located in five interconnected merchant houses. They have courtyards and other characteristic elements that testify to their ancient past. The main entrance is located in the fifteenth century Palau Berenguer d´Aguilar. The houses can be found in the Carrer Montcada. This characteristic street is located in the centre of the La Ribera district.
It might be time for our last suggestion of today which is the ´Casa Mila´, located at Passeig de Gràcia. This impressive work of gaudi reminds a bit of ´Park Guëll´. We recommend to take pictures and take your time to admire the building.
We would like to recommend a great restaurant to complete this day trip. The name of the restaurant is ´Méson David´ and there is a huge variety in food you can order. Prices are cheap as well. The restaurant is located at Calle Carretas, it will take you around 15 minutes to go there when you travel from the ´Casa Mila´. Unfortunately this is already the end of the tour. The bus can drive you back to your accommodation in Barcelona.
