The perfect start of a great day! Today we start at the main shopping area of Madrid, the Goya and Salamanca area. Calle Goya is known as the main shopping street of Madrid. It is home to hundreds of shops including boutiques, jewelers and elite shopping centres among the high-street fashion outlets.
We cannot leave this area before we walk to the the most trendy and chic area of Madrid, which is the Goya-Serrano area. All the shops can be found of the most important designers. So feel once like Victoria Beckham and enjoy the shops of Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Gucci, Prada and many more. The walking distance is seven minutes.
After a good shopping session the bus will pick us up at the corner of Calle de Goya and Calle del Principe de Vergara and bring us to the Calle Cuchilleros to Restaurant Botin. You can find this on the map. The bus drive will take about 15 minutes.
Lunch will be held in Casa Botin as this is the oldest restaurant in the world opened in 1725. The restaurants serves typical Mediterranean dishes and is popular for its excellent food specialties such as cochinillo asado (roast suckling pig) and cordero asado (roast lamb). A traditional way to enjoy the cuisine of Madrid. Before lunch we will walk shortly to Plaza Mayor, which is a three minute walk from the restaurant. It is undoubtly the most beautiful square of Madrid and worth a visit when you are in Madrid.
After lunch the bus will pick you up at the restaurant, and drive you to Calle de la Princessa. The busdrive will take about fifteen minutes. Calle de la Princessa is also known as one of the best shopping streets in Madrid. It is a very busy street in the business district and is home to a lot of restaurants, bars, pubs and countless department stores, shoe shops, and the Spanish fashion outlets. Next to the shops you will also find one of Madrid's most famous buildings, which is the Liria Palace. The Liria Palace is the residence of the Duchess Alba and a neoclassical building.
From Calle de la Princessa we will pick you up again to continue our shopping tour to the Chueca area in Madrid. The Chueca area is well-known for its Spanish fashion shops and its originality. The little streets part of the Fuencarral and Horteleza is shopping mecca for the fervent Spanish shoppers. Pick-up by bus from Calle de Fuencarral and driving to the Calle de los Canizares to visit a dinner show.
We will bring a visit to a flamenco dinner show at Casa Patas. As you are in Madrid you cannot leave the city without seeing a flamenco performance. In combination with some delicious tapas you can enjoy the some of the finest flamenco performances of Madrid. It is a unique show, hardly without tourists as well. After the flamenco dinner show we will bring you back to your pick-up point.
