Most visitors use a private taxi. Johannesburg"s most affluent suburb is one of the most prestigious in Africa. The lions, rhinos, and elephants, are all known about and kept away from the streets. However, wild leopards still live in the surrounding hills.
Johannesburg is a great base to start a trip across the rest of South Africa. From here it"s a 2-3 journey east to the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains, and then only a further 1-2 hours before you reach the coastal city of Durban.
