Euromast

The Euromast is the highest public Tower of Netherlands. The tower was built in 1960 on the occasion of the Floriade. When the Euromast was built the building was in that time 107 metres high. In 1970, there is an 85 metre high building situated on the Euromast. The tower has a glass elevator accessible to spectators. The taper mast of the tower is known as the symbol of Rotterdam. On 112 feet height can be there overnight in the exclusive suites with breathtaking views of the international port of Rotterdam. Harbour

One of the largest ports in Europe is the port of Rotterdam. After digging the Nieuwe Waterweg (1866 to 1872) is the port of Rotterdam situated. On 14 May 1940 the harbour is destroyed by the Germans. After the second world war began the reconstruction of the city. To get an impression of the port, different boat tours were offered. Koopgoot

The koopgoot is a partially underground shopping street in the Centre of Rotterdam. The official name of the koopgoot is Beurstraverse and is located on the Coolsingel. Diergaarde Blijdorp

You may know this zoo still from a school trip. Rotterdam Blijdorp Zoo originally started in 1855 with a garden, equipped for pheasants and waterfowl. Over the years the grounds extended and visitors could come. That time the garden was only allowed to visit by the members of the Association.
During the large bombardment in Rotterdam, the Zoo was so damaged that many animals were killed or escaped. Diergaarde Blijdorp was completely restored and reopened on 7 July 1940. Today, the elephants, giraffes and zebras, polar bears can not be missed in the Zoo. The park is open every day, but there has to be to take account of the summer and winter time. Diergaarde Blijdorp has a private car park with space for buses and coaches. Parking tickets may be achieved at the registers or vending machines.

Holland Casino Rotterdam is located at the Weena, a 5-minute walk from the main train Station and the Centre of Rotterdam.
