Visits with the need of a mini bus or coach with driver:

The turtle hospital:

This is an activity designed for the case that you are on vacation with children. It is located in the town of Riccione, just 20 minutes’ bus drive from Rimini. It’s an educational visit where guides and volunteers will explain to your children why the sea and marine fauna should be kept in good shape. The children will love it, and then you can enjoy a stroll through the village and swim in the beautiful beach of Riccione!

Visit the city of Florence:

In little more than two hours and a half by motor coach you can get to Florence. It is a wonderful city to spend 1 or 2 days full of deep Italy. The Ponte Vecchio, a walk through the "Centro Storico", climbing up (get out of the bus!) to see the views from Michel Angelo Square, driving a Ferrari car around the centre or just hallucinating with Giotto"s Bell Tower, perhaps the most famous of all Italy and Europe, are some of the wonders of a city containing art and beauty everywhere. Not to mention the wines you can taste in a region with the best vineyards of the country.

It will be a long day and you must agree with the Rimini bus hire company if 1 or 2 drivers will join your group and if only 1 comes you should agree upfront on the mandatory breaks and pauses.

Many emblematic Italian cities have a famous bridge, and Rimini also has its own. It is a bridge built in the 1st century AD by the Romans, with Istria stone, and from there you can get amazing photos.

Augustus Arch:

Another monument which is a symbol of Rimini is this arch built in the year 27, i.e., it is the most ancient arch that stands. Its function was to hold a huge bronze statue of the Emperor Augustus. It is located at the intersection of the streets Via XX Setembre with Corso d"augusto.

Stroll through the Borgo San Giuliano:

This neighborhood preserves the medieval flavour and it is worth a stroll through its colourful streets. It is also convenient to take this walk to drink or eat, since the area is full of restaurants and cafés. The borgo is near Piazza Cavour, not far from the historic centre of the city. Get off the bus, send the driver to park it and do the walk on foot.

The coach or minibus can leave you right in the square so there is no excuse for not visiting it.

Cathedral of Rimini:

By mini bus, motor coach or on foot in Rimini?

We have already seen that the walk through the historic centre will be well done on foot, since the main monuments of Rimini are placed nearby to each another. Just remember if you are in Rimini during summertime that in the central ‘heat’ hours of the day you will probably be on the beach because the heat will be unbearable. In the afternoon, the coach will save you the long trip to go from your favourite beach to your long list of attractions and you’ll be able to visit all of them. In addition, a mini bus with air conditioning will be something that you will appreciate for sure!

City tours in Rimini

You can rent a bus in Rimini for tours in the city or in Emilia Romagna region, but due to its proximity, it serves a lot the capital of the region of Le Marche, Ancona. By its 15 kilometres of beaches on the Adriatic, by its favourable weather to enjoy the summer and by its hotel infrastructure, the small Rimini is one of the favourite cities for summer visitors from Italy and from many other parts of the world.

The small but densely populated (in summer) Rimini has a variety of activities to do and places to visit, together with a very favourable weather for water sports and relaxation, as well as a delicious food.

What so see and what to do in Rimini

The small size of the city should not fool you: the rental coach with driver will be very useful to save time and above all sweat in summer. You cannot miss a visit to the emblems of Rimini as the Piazza Cavour, the Arch of Augustus or the Tiberius Bridge, for starters. The Italy in Miniature Park is also fun and interesting for the smallest.

Tours in Emilia Romagna

Your tour with private transport for your group in a rented bus or coach with driver around Emilia Romagna can start at one of the several provinces of the region of Emilia-Romagna, known for its gastronomic delights, which have become famous: Modena, for its vinegar, Parma, for its famous shredded cheese, and of course, Bologna, for the best-known way of eating spaghetti around the world.

This jewel of geography, history and gastronomy is like this: a region in which, literally, you can find everything: from the blue of the Adriatic Sea to beautiful mountain parks, from cities with a special charm to the ingredients that make the Italians feel proud.

We have already commented that the provinces constituting the Emilia-Romagna region evoke gastronomy with their Italian names. In fact, in this region of the country cuisine is perhaps the most varied and has the most delightful ingredients, it is thus convenient to remember that the pleasure of eating (and drinking wine, why not?) will be important in your route.

However, the cuisine of the region and its high quality products will not be the only attraction that you will find there, since it offers a variety of landscapes and charming cities. The best thing is that if you think about travelling to Emilia Romagna you prepare your trip in advance, since there is a lot to see.

What to see and what to do in Emilia Romagna

A day in the Natural Park of the Gesso Romagnola Vein

It is 1 and a half hour away from the capital of the region, next to the beautiful town of Brisighella. In fact, you should not miss the opportunity to visit this town, taking advantage of your visit to the Park. This natural space located in the Apennines has the characteristic (and hence its name) that it is crossed by a vein of calcium sulphate which creates beautiful outdoor scenery, and several caves formations and calcareous rocks inside.

Inside the park you can find paths and routes of all difficulty levels, so you can visit it both if you go with your family or if you are an expert in trekking and you are in shape!

Since you are in the park, you may want to profit to get close to the village of Brisighella, a magical place on top of the steep rocks of the Apennines. Three of its medieval monuments, the fortress, the clock tower and the sanctuary are found perched on top of rock formations, which makes them even more beautiful, and they justify perfectly taking some time to visit the town.

What to do in Emilia Romagna if you are going with children

A day in the Park of the Po Delta

The delta of the Po River is located in the province of Ferrara, about 100 kilometres away from Bologna, so your driver can bring you on the rental bus in little more than one hour. The landscape of the Delta is perfect for doing bike tours with your family, since it is totally flat but the views are of great beauty.

The Cathedral of Parma

In Parma, in addition to eating cheese, of course, you should not fail to see the Cathedral, one of the most majestic of the country. It has an austere Romanesque exterior, but inside there is an impressive contrast with the outside, embellished by frescoes of Correggio. Without a doubt, this is a jewel which must be seen.

Visit to Cesenatico

This tourist enclave is located between Ravenna and Rimini, in what is known as the Riviera Romagnola. It is a sailor town and also known for its spa, with a nice shaped channel port. If you come in Christmas time, you can see one of most beautiful cribs that exist, according to Italian people. It is very funny because figures are installed on boats, therefore, it is perhaps the only sailor Nativity Scene in the world!
