Pre booking a taxi from Jaipur airport is very simple and many taxi companies offer this service. The easiest way to avoid the touts is to pre book your airport transfer as your driver will greet you at the arrivals gate at the airport. Touts do not bother foreigners already walking with a local. There are a lot of touts at Jaipur Airport who will offer you cheap taxi rides into the city. You should not agree on any deal until you’ve seen the vehicle and confirmed it is a registered taxi. In the airport there is a pre pay taxi stand and to avoid being ripped off you can utilise this service. After paying at the stand take your receipt to the driver. Cash only.

Using Public Transport:

4 different bus lines go to Jaipur city from the airport. These are local buses and not for the feint hearted of those new to India. Ask the advice of somebody working at the airport for which bus brings you closest to your hotel.
